Megger MIT515 5 kV Insulation Resistance Tester for HV Assets

The Megger MIT515 5 kV insulation resistance tester delivers high-accuracy DC insulation measurements for cables, transformers, motors, generators, bushings and other high-voltage equipment. The dual-case construction, intuitive rotary controls and large backlit display support stable readings up to 10 TΩ with OEM-specified accuracy. IR, IR(t), PI and DAR modes enable both quick checks and longer diagnostic tests suitable for commissioning, maintenance and condition trending.

It helps identify insulation degradation from thermal stress, contamination and ageing before it leads to failure. By applying controlled DC test voltages and monitoring resistance over time, technicians can assess insulation condition, compare to historical data and plan maintenance or replacement with greater confidence. PI and DAR modes provide temperature-compensated diagnostics for trending results across assets and sites.
