Ariadna CI Cable Identification Before MV and LV Cable Work

Before cutting, joining, or manipulating MV and LV cables, the Merytronic Ariadna CI supports clear cable identification across energized and de-energized workflows. The Merytronic Ariadna CI is an MV and LV cable identifier for de-energized cables, live MV cables, and live LV cables among multiple conductors. Ariadna CI supports cable identification in trenches, manholes, panels, and aerial-to-underground conversion points.

Current Pulse and Frequency Signal Identification

  • Live MV mode uses 160/80 A peak current pulses.
  • Live LV mode traces pulses toward the feeding transformer.
  • De-energized mode uses 10 W polarized frequency injection.
  • CI-RX detection reads signal amplitude and polarity.

Cable Identification Functions and Ranges

  • Identifies de-energized, live MV, and live LV cables.
  • Supports single-phase and three-phase cables.
  • Supports direct and induction signal injection.
  • Supports cable length greater than 50 km by direct connection.
