Rim egress control for commercial door openings

The need is direct egress at the door edge in commercial openings. The method is a surface-mounted rim exit device that releases the latch from the push pad side and supports panic hardware use.

PDQ 6200R-01 is a 6200 series rim exit device configured for a 36" door. It is a non-handed design in US32D finish and is identified as panic rated.

Rim latch construction

- Rim application with surface-mounted body
- Stainless steel touch pad
- Extruded aluminum rail
- Cadmium-plated steel chassis
- Stainless steel deadlocking latch bolt with 3/4" throw

Door fit and operation

The device is supplied for 3 ft doors within the 6200 series rim configuration. The series brochure states the device and trim are non-handed, allowing left-hand or right-hand door installation without handing change.
